Blackbeard's Seafood Island (Libis)

|
If you're up for a heavy seafood Filipino meal, then this is the place for you. Seafood Island offers Filipino seafood dishes from the exotic Kohol to the very comon Tuna Belly. But it's range isn't limited to finned fiends and shelled crawlers. It wouldn't be a party without Crispy Pata, would it?

I'd say that there's nothing very different with their menu and if anything stood out, it was their Iced Tea and Laing (well, the crispy pata was the talk of the recruitment bunch but because it was crispy pata and not how exceptional it was and I don't think it'll ever be).

But, I agree with Tin and Tracy that the Iced Tea was good just because it was different, with it's honey like sweetness and it didn't have that nasty after-taste like in those powdered drinks. The Laing, I thought, had a suttle flavor; cooked not like the usual way I would have it but it's nothing to rave about... but good, nonetheless.

When you visit this place, try getting their Kohol (aka: "suso na nakakain") and the oysters. Try the Banana Chips and no seafood meal can be complete without Crabs! Yummy!
