Wicked: the sensational broadway musical about the witches of Oz in their enchanted struggle to find their selves, will be out on the silver screen!!! At least that's what I heard...
And so... I heard that the Tony award-winning piece by Stephen Schwartz based on Gregory Maguire's novel will come true in "Reel" Life. With the onset of a number of musicals like Chicago, Rent, The Producers, Hairspray and the recent Mamma Mia brought to the silver screen, there's no doubt that Wicked won't join the wagon and enter the scene as well. Though it's enchanted production won't be as exciting as it would be live in Broadway, I'm sure that the movie-magickery will amaze us more!
Can't wait til the news becomes official but I'm guessing it won't be out 'til later this decade. I'm hoping it's true, though. And so, while waiting, let's all keep ourselves excited and see what will happen.
